Transport group Stagecoach on track for strong year

According to recent news, Transport group Stagecoach is once again back on track to end the year on a high note as a result of revenue support payments from the Government due to which profit is expected for the second half of the year. Sir Brian Souter, who is the Chief executive of the company while commenting on the news said, “Today’s results were good, showing strong organic growth across the bus and rail businesses. Against a background of pressure on household incomes and rising fuel costs, we are seeing continuing indications of modal shift from the car to bus and rail.”
