Plum Personnel signs up to Youth Employment Charter

Plum Personnel based in Solihull town centre has signed up to the Youth Employment Charter launched recently by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC). The aims of the Charter are to help build better bridges between the recruitment industry, education and employers to prepare today's young people for the world of work. The Charter will drive increased co-operation with schools and charities, enabling recruitment and employment experts to share their expertise directly with young people. Plum Personnel director Susie Ankrett said: “With nearly one million young people aged between 16 and 24 currently not in employment or education, the Youth Employment Charter commits the recruitment industry to playing an active role in helping to prepare future generations of workers. We are pleased to be part of this and to be able to contribute on a local basis. It is a real opportunity to develop opportunities and address barriers faced by young jobseekers."
