easyJet and VisitBritain campaign to boost UK tourism
easyJet has formed a partnership with VisitBritain, the UK’s national tourism agency, to jointly market Britain as a tourist destination over the next four years. The deal between the two parties is worth over £18 million in cash and marketing in kind, and will help boost visitor numbers to the country and capitalise on the unique opportunities provided by the Royal Wedding, Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 Olympic Games. The four-year marketing campaign, to be launched in Britain’s key inbound tourism markets later this year, aims to deliver four million extra overseas visitors; £2bn more in visitor spending the UK, and
50,000 new jobs across the country. easyJet’s contribution to the campaign will be focused mainly in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

Business travellers vote easyJet best low-fares airline for 10th year
easyJet, the UK's largest airline, has won the prestigious Best Low-Fares Airline award for the 10th consecutive year, at this year’s Business Traveller magazine awards in London.
This award, based on readers' votes from around the world, has been running for over 20 years, and easyJet has beaten off competition from the likes of Air Asia, Air Berlin, BMI Baby, Jet2, and Ryanair.
easyJet’s chief executive Carolyn McCall, said: “To be voted Best Low-Fares Airline by the world’s travelling public for ten years in a row is a huge honour and testament to the hard work and dedication of our people. easyJet launches flexible fares for business travellers
easyJet has launched a new flexible fare targeted at business travellers. The tickets will give passengers unlimited flexibility to change their flight up to two hours before the scheduled departure time.
Passengers can make unlimited changes within a four week time window - one week before and up to three weeks after the original booked travel date. Passengers booking an easyJet flexible fare will also benefit from automatic speedy boarding, no booking fees and a checked in hold bag at no extra cost.
The easyJet flexible fares will stay true to easyJet’s commitment to low fares. They will be competitively priced and are expected to be far cheaper than those offered by the legacy carriers.
